MELTING POT

MELTING POT is a collection of images that speak to me as an immigrant in America. Some scenes I gravitated towards because they reminded me of my formative years in my childhood "home," while others were so foreign that they fell in either category of "exciting" or "daunting."

"Nevertheless, most men grouped in nations, speaking more or less the same language, are born or are unconsciously compelled to model themselves on a national pattern, so that they may appear on the surface different from all foreigners. Those unfortunate who are born different and cannot adjust are profoundly unhappy, lead lives of quiet desperation, and often read poetry. Some commit suicide."
